To establish anaesthesiologists as comprehensive physicians whose responsibilities extend beyond the operating theatre into preoperative optimization, postoperative recovery, pain management, critical care, rehabilitation support, and long-term perioperative outcomes.
To advocate for the establishment of dedicated academic and clinical departments titled: Department of Anaesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine in teaching institutions, medical colleges, and tertiary healthcare centers.
To engage with National Medical Commission, universities, and relevant academic bodies to modernize anaesthesiology curricula, competency frameworks, and nomenclature in line with contemporary perioperative medicine.
To encourage, support, standardize, and accredit fellowship programs, certificate courses, and advanced training pathways in Perioperative Medicine.
To promote multicentric audits, registries, original research, innovation, publications, and quality-improvement initiatives aimed at improving perioperative outcomes and healthcare systems.
To increase awareness among patients, hospitals, policymakers, and the wider medical community regarding the evolving role of anaesthesiologists as perioperative physicians and leaders in surgical safety.
To collaborate with national and international professional societies, academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and experts to elevate standards of perioperative care and promote global exchange of knowledge.
