Temporary interruption of fellowship is permitted for approved reasons upon written application. The maximum proposed interruption period is 12 months (configurable by SOPPA). Completed training is recognised upon formal resumption.

Award of the SOPPA Fellowship Certificate requires meeting five mandatory conditions:
Appeals regarding assessment, registration or disciplinary actions must be submitted in writing. They are initially reviewed by the Fellowship Committee. The SOPPA Executive Committee decision shall be final unless SOPPA regulations specify otherwise.
These regulations may be revised periodically by SOPPA. The latest approved version published on the portal shall supersede previous versions while archived versions remain accessible for record transparency.
